Ahmed M. Mahrous, BDS, MS
Digital Prosth Update
Dr. Mahrous received his B.D.S. from Pharos University College of Dentistry (Egypt) in 2011. In 2016, he received his M.S. in prosthodontics from Iowa and also became an assistant professor in the Department of Prosthodontics. In 2018 and 2019, dental students awarded Dr. Mahrous D2 Faculty of the Year and D3 Faculty of the Year. Dr. Mahrous is the director for the Removable Partial Denture course for D2 and graduate students. (2 CEUs)

Richard Walton, DMD, MS
Flare-ups: Incidence, Cause, Treatment and Prevention
Dr. Walton is a diplomate of and has been an examiner on the American Board of Endodontics. He was editor of the Endodontic Section of Triple O, has published numerous scientific and clinical articles and has contributed extensively to Ingle’s Endodontics as well as to Pathways of the Pulp and Contemporary Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Walton co-authors a textbook, Endodontics: Principles and Practice of Endodontics now in print as the 5th edition (2015) and translated into several languages. In 1997, the Iowa Alumni Association recognized Dr. Walton as Educator of the Year. He received the Louis I. Grossman Award for research contributions by the American Association of Endodontists in 2001 and received the IB Bender Lifetime Educator Award at the AAE meeting in 2012. (2 CEUs)

Sandra Guzman-Armstrong, DDS, MS
Caries Management
Dr Guzmán is currently the co-director of the Operative Dentistry Graduate Program and her primary role is teaching the first, second and third-year Operative Dentistry residents. She also participates in the junior clinical and didactic operative clerkship as well as the cariology didactic component of freshman and sophomore years. She has her faculty patient practice two times weekly. (6 CEUs)

Greg Weinberg, DMD, MS
Pediatric Dentistry Update
After graduating from Augustana, he received his Doctorate of Medical Dentistry degree from Southern Illinois University and was the recipient of both the AAPD predoctoral award in pediatric dentistry and the award for community and dental public health. Dr. Greg then returned to the Quad Cities where he worked at Community Healthcare Inc. for 3 years. He went on to receive his advanced training in pediatric dentistry at the University of Iowa. He became board certified in pediatric dentistry in 2015. (2 CEUs)
